Chapter 1 objective

The visible objective is intentionally simple: find the Needle in the giant haystack. The difficulty comes from the amount of hay, not from a complicated quest log.

Efficient clear route

Use the normal progression route: a few early Speed/Grasp levels, Bag, $8 Pitchfork, Drone if you have the Gems, then Vacuum and Dynamite for the long clear.

The complete Chapter 1 & 2 recording takes nearly an hour to find the Needle on a slower route. A focused optimized route does it far faster. The difference is almost entirely upgrade efficiency and digging direction.

Where is the Needle?

Do not rely on “bottom center” as a guaranteed coordinate. The supplied videos do not support a single fixed location. The Needle becomes visible as hay is cleared. One player spends a long time trying to reach the bottom and eventually finds the Needle near the top of the remaining stack.

What happens after you find it?

Bring it back to the quest NPC/farmer. The dialogue references the long search, then directs you toward the promised reward. That sequence turns into the Chapter 2 setup: a key/basement transition and a new puzzle-heavy environment.

Before you leave the lobby again

If you have enough Gems, check your class options. The next chapter still requires hay clearing, but it layers key hunting and puzzles on top, so permanent bonuses and passive collection remain useful.
