Tool roles at a glance
| Tool | Main job | Best time to buy | Main caution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pitchfork | Larger manual grabs | Early | Do not delay it with too many hand upgrades |
| Drone | Passive collection | As soon as 40 Gems is comfortable | Gems also fund class progression |
| Vacuum | Sustained high-speed clear | Mid/late run | Heat / overheat management |
| Dynamite | Burst clear on cooldown | After economy is stable | Throw it into dense hay; poor placement wastes value |
Pitchfork
The Pitchfork costs $8 in the supplied footage and is the first upgrade that visibly changes the pace. Upgrade Sweep and Cooldown enough that it stays ahead of your Bag capacity, then keep raising the Bag when overflow becomes the bottleneck.
Drone
The Drone costs 40 Gems per round in the documented guide. It flies to the pile, collects hay, carries it to the cow and repeats. It is useful because it works while you are digging somewhere else.
Vacuum
The Vacuum is the sustained clearing tool. It can strip hay quickly, but its heat bar punishes holding it until full overheat. Pulse it: clear, release, cool, resume.
Dynamite
Dynamite is a cooldown burst. An upgraded version can also gain a “Lucky Blast” effect that can turn affected hay rainbow in the gameplay footage. Use it on dense sections while the Vacuum is cooling or while you reposition.
Which tool should you max first?
For a speed-focused run, put your main cash into the tool that currently clears fastest without being capacity-limited. Once the Vacuum is unlocked, it usually becomes that tool. Maxing every earlier tool before moving forward costs more time than it saves.
